Resonance is one of London's most respected oldskool promoters still catering for the proper underground raver.
Throughout the years Resonance has kept the ethos of djs having to dig deep in the archives and play the records that other promoters dernt let them in fear of being too underground. Basically Riverdance is about a non "anthem" bashing event. Its b-sides, promos, unreleased, forgotten gems and underground tunes that are rarely played out if at all at other events.
Last 5 years especially resonance in the form of Riverdance has opened up and added the dark jungletekno side of oldskool to resonance thus broadening the selection of amazing djs that still play that genre or indeed that don’t get the chance to play out that genre anymore. And best of all almost every year on the boat and AP the djs still play out on the original artform that is Vinyl.
Resonance Riverdance is a small but extraordinary community within the oldskool set up, many make the yearly pilgrimaged or come out of raving retirement just for riverdance that 1 time per year as they know they will be getting the proper tunes, vibes and atmosphere of bitd. What is pleasing is that in the last few years the "younger" generation has embraced what riverdance is all about even though many were not around at the time that riverdance best represents.
And lastly what has made Riverdance so special is the family vibe and togetherness, this is the party that the Riverdancers actually have a hand in making happen and being a part of the decision making and without those guys we would be nothing.
